What exactly is Fine Things?
Fine Things is a shared membership studio as well as a storefront. While they have the same name, they operate independently.
Are there classes at Fine Things?
Right now there are no classes available at Fine Things.
How do I sign up?
Please fill out a membership application and schedule a tour!
Do you offer outside firings?
Not at this time.
What cone do you fire to?
We fire to cone 04 bisque and cone 5 and cone 6 for glaze.
What kind of glaze is available for members?
We stock Clay Art Center glazes and add a new one every other month or so. There are also a handful of glazes from different companies you can try.
What kind of clay is available for members?
We stock Clay Art Center clays and they are available to members at cost. Right now we have Oregon Brown Smooth, Whitestone and Naranja Speckle.
Can I bring my own clay and glaze?
Yes! As long as they fire to cone 5/6.
Do I need to have experience to become a member?
Ultimately yes, you need to have some clay experience to become a member. You should be able to use the studio solo which we will go over cleaning, equipment, etc. during the new member orientation.
Can I bring my friends and family?
We'd love for you to share the studio with your friends and family for a tour. If you'd like them to join for a clay making session, you can reserve a guest pass for $50/day.
